My name is Deanna Schultz and I want to share the wonderful transforming benefits of a yoga practice with you. Simply put, yoga has enhanced my life physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I teach both private (in person or via Skype) and group classes.

With personal experience and specialized training in the Yoga & Healing Sciences, I am more than well prepared to assist you.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is the adaptation and application of yoga techniques to improve or manage particular health conditions. This form of therapy is customized to a person’s health needs. 

In completing the Yoga Rx Level 1 Program at Loyola Marymount University, I am excited about applying the scientifically backed therapeutic benefits of yoga with others. Special focus is given to the treatment of low back, upper back, knee and hip problems. My own journey of recovery using yoga therapy and specialized breathing techniques was such a freeing and empowering experience that I want to empower and help others as my yoga therapists did for me. 

The yoga therapy components of my teaching are based on my own personal experience in addition to the specialized training I have completed, not derived from my status as a Register Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance Registry.

Prime of Life Yoga® (POLY)

I am specially trained and certified to teach this form of yoga called Prime of Life Yoga® created for active people in their 40’s to 70’s. It’s inevitable that our bodies will start changing around the age of 40. The POLY approach takes this into account and provides a unique approach using dynamic movement, breathing, etc. that benefits the individual as a whole.
